We are proud to announce the launch of DetectorBase.com, and on-line web-zine dedicated to metal detecting and metal detecting enthusiasts featuring user experience articles and resources.
DetectorBase.com will showcase articles and how-to tips for newcomers to the hobby as well as a useful nuggets
for the seasoned veteran.
During this phase we need some help from the metal detecting community to help submit articles and develop
the site to meet its' potential. Over the last few months, we've been recruiting field writers to create
articles, but we think we can generate a lot more articles for our beta launch by generating a contest for the
best article. All articles (if they meet submission guidelines) will be added to the site, but we wanted to
reward the winning submission with a great and useful prize!
After we have reached 30 approved submitted articles a winner will be picked from the pool of articles.
The winner will receive a new VIBRAPROBE 560 Pinpointing Metal Detector!!
That's a $100 value!
Along with winning a prize the article will be set as the feature article for an entire month!
The current count of submitted articles is displayed at the top of the page. Once it reaches 30, we will
stop taking submissions for this contest. Writers can submit as often as you want as long as the counter
is below 30.

- The material you are submitting is True.
- The material you are submitting is oriented towards metal detecting.
- The material you are submitting has not been previously published.
- The length of the story should be between 500 to 2000 words. Shorter articles are accepted.
- Please list sources and/or reference books used to complete your article.
- If article(s) are submitted they are the property of DetectorBase.com. They cannot be re-published without permission.
- Articles will be lightly edited (if needed) before publication.
